Peter Daniel Isidoro Torrez August 21, 1996 - January 15, 2024 Peter Torrez, age 27, born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024. He was born to Sandra R. Torrez and Danny L. Torrez. Peter lived in Santa Fe, Silver City and Farmington for his formative years and later moved to Villanueva, New Mexico. He attended and graduated from West Las Vegas High School before attending Santa Fe Community College and Central New Mexico Community College. He studied and enjoyed all aspects of art. Throughout his youth he was always writing and drawing his own comic strips, writing poetry, making music, or pursuing some creative venture. Peter started his career working in the service industry and felt satisfied when achieving accomplishments. Peter regularly received compliments of his potential.

He had a real love of animals all throughout his life. His dog Ginger, who he had for 14 years, brought him many smiles and good memories. He also had a cat, Goldie, and chickens who were good company. He regularly went on long walks and loved being in nature.

Peter had a silly and playful sense of humor. He had a handsome smile, and his laugh was infectious. He was loyal, patient, empathetic, and gentle. Peter had the biggest and kindest heart and felt very nostalgic for his time with his mother growing up. Peter had the truest of love for his father and sister. He and his sister had a close friendship. Peter deeply loved all his family, and he was equally cherished and loved back. Peter was a true friend to all he met and knew.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Torrez; his brother, Noah Torrez; his maternal grandparents MaryAnn Heiberger, and Anthony Heiberger; and by his paternal grandfather Delfinio Torrez. He is survived by his father, Danny Torrez; sister Regina Torrez; Grandmother Josie Torrez; and many aunts, uncles, family, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Roger's Mortuary Chapel on Friday, February 9th, 2024, from 9:00am to 11:00am with a mass to follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM 12:00pm, with a reception to follow.

He will be laid to rest with his mother at Daniels Funeral Home in Rio Rancho, NM.
