Surrounded by family, it is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Philip Michael Cordova, on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Mike was born in La Junta, Colorado, to Benito Cordova and Cilia Montoya, both of whom preceded him in death.

He is lovingly survived by his siblings: Felix Cordova, Ron Cordova (Eileen), Brenda Marquez (Ed), Kenny Cordova. Also surviving him are his cherished nephews and niece: Robert Marquez (Reyna), Dominick Marquez, Amanda Cordova (Ashley); and his beloved great-nieces and great-nephews: Aryanna Marquez, Amariah Marquez, Roman Marquez, and Raiden Marquez.

Mike was a skilled carpenter by trade—a true craftsman. Known as "MC Hammer" to many, he had a gift for building fences and fixing just about anything. As he proudly said, "I'm building America."  More than his talents, it was Mike's heart that left a lasting impression. He was one of the most generous souls you could ever meet—quick to help, quick to laugh, and always ready with a joke (even if you'd heard it before, it still made you smile). His love was big and fierce, and if Mike loved you, you knew it deeply. Mike will be missed beyond words.

Services will be Monday, July 21, 2025 Rosary: 9:30 AM at St. Gertrude's Church, Mora, NM Mass to follow with Father Dale Craig S.O.L.T. as celebrant Burial will be at St. Anthony Cemetery in Cleveland, NM with the following serving as Pallbearers: Felix Cordova, Ron Cordova, Kenny Cordova, Ed Marquez, Dominick Marquez, and Amanda Cordova.

Reception: Light refreshments will be served at the Church Hall following the services.
