With heavy hearts, the family of Polly Romero announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Polly passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Polly was born on January 26, 1934, grew up in Rociada, NM, and was a lifelong resident of Las Vegas, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfonso and Eumelia Martinez, her sisters Tonie Rivera (Tony) and Corrine Garcia (Rueben).

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 69 years, Phillip (Sonny) Romero; daughters Diane Moore (David), Sandra Jackson (John), and April Naranjo; sisters Frances Alvarado (Frank), Viola King (Roy), and Darlene Tidwell (Aaron); grandchildren Jason Moore (Samantha), Ashley Moore (Tina), Taylor Fine (Mike), Brian Jackson, Erin Fleming (Dusty), Jayce Jackson, Taliah Chapman (Rett), Lauren Naranjo (Martin); five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Polly began and ended her career at Quality Motor Company, where she served as a business manager for over 50 years. Polly was a proud member of the Catholic Daughters, Beta Sigma Phi Society and the Over the Hill Car Club. Sonny and Polly had a strong catholic faith and enjoyed traveling the world together. Polly enjoyed bingo, the casino, traveling and spending time with her sisters and grandchildren.

Rosary will be recited on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., Immaculate Conception Church, 811 6th Street in Las Vegas, NM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., also at Immaculate Conception Church.

Interment will be later at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Polly will be missed, but never forgotten, as she will live in the hearts of all the family and friends.
