Priscilla Manuelita Martinez, age 88, a longtime resident of Wagon Mound, NM born on January 30, 1938, passed away on April 8, 2026.

Priscilla Martinez was a seamstress for over 50 years and was known for her fresh baked bread and after retirement she was a volunteer for senior companions and foster grandparent for Wagon Mound Public Schools.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ernesto Martinez and her children Johnny Martinez, Mary Martinez, Gloria Martinez, Gonzalo Martinez, Dennis Martinez, and Juanita Martinez, her parents Juan and Celina Chavez, numerous brothers and sisters and her grandchildren Jennifer Melissa Valdez, Charmaine Yvette Martinez, Mario Martinez, and Jeanette Martinez.

She is survived by her children Anthony Martinez and Ernestina (Tina) Valdez, sister Betty and Husband George Martinez, grandson, Manuel David and wife Linda Valdez, granddaughters, Sophia and Brittany and husband Danny and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 2:00-3:00pm

Rosary will be recited on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Santa Clara Parish in Wagon Mound, NM at 6 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on April 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial at Santa Clara Parish Cemetery with Father Agustin Henderson serving as Celebrant with the following serving as pallbearers Daniel Rosales, Manuel Valdez, Jr., Arturo Urquijo, Gabriel Valdez, Daniel Esquibel, and Ernesto Juarez, with Diego Martinez, Manuel Valdez, and Jonathan Alcon serving as honorary pallbearers.
