Prudencio "Prim" Gallegos, 54, passed away in the arms of his loved ones on Wednesday morning July 3, 2024.

He was born on June 24, 1970, in Las Vegas, NM to Manuelita Gallegos and the late Ernesto Gallegos. He was a long-time resident of Las Vegas, NM and a friend to all as he operated and owned Gallegos Salvage Yard that was passed on by his late father.

Prudencio is preceded in death by his father Ernesto Gallegos; brother, Richard Gallegos; uncles, Blas, Susano, and George; aunt, Rosa; sister-in-law, Nancy Jaramillo; brother-in-law, Karl Gonzales, II and step-grandma Felicita Gallegos.

He is survived by his companion Judy Sanchez; mother, Manuelita Gallegos; siblings, Veva Strout from Henderson, NV, Cathy Huerta from Colorado, Tina Gallegos (Javier) from Booker, TX, Delphie Salazar, Joann Gallegos (Oliver), Pauline Gallegos (Rick) all of Las Vegas, NM. Three sons; Jeffrey Gallegos (Brittany), Prudencio Gallegos, II (Rayna), and Julian Gallegos; two daughters, Samantha Gallegos and Leann Gallegos (Malaki), and 14 grand kids, Angelo Salazar (Ammy Griego), David Salazar, Jeffrey Gallegos, Jr., Christobal Jaramillo, Jeovannah Gallegos, Estrella Gallegos, Prudencio Gallegos III, Juanito Gallegos, Kimberly Gallegos, Emilio Salazar, Karolina Gallegos, Lyllah Gallegos, Malaki Gallegos, Jr., and Amadeo Gallegos. Numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

A rosary service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church as well with interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery with the following serving as Pallbearers; Angelo Salazar, Jr., Jacob Gallegos, Adam Gallegos, Prudencio Gallegos II, Jeffrey Gallegos, Julian Gallegos, Adam Gallegos, Jr., and Marvin Gallegos.
