Ramona LeDoux Martinez, passed away on June 2, 2022 at the age of 97, six days shy of being 98. She was born June 8, 1924 in El Coyote, New Mexico to Julia and Arturo LeDoux.

Ramona was an exceptional woman who lived her life to the fullest. She was active in her Church and the Presbyterian Woman's Organization. She traveled extensively throughout the state and country for Church activities and conferences. She was also very involved in her community in helping those who needed assistance. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the David F. Cargo Library Board. She was also an astute Business Woman who operated the Malco Station for many years as well as managing several rental properties in Mora and the Ranch in El Carmen. Her zest for life included taking classes to learn new things, such as weaving, cooking healthy meals, and gardening. Her greatest joy was being with her family and going to the ranch to feed the cattle and watch the baby calves running. Even in her 90's, she would get her truck and drive to the ranch. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. She always remembered all of them for their birthdays and holidays.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Julia and Arturo LeDoux, her husband, Arturo Martinez, son, Arthur Martinez Jr., grandsons, James Martinez and Brian Ortega, brothers, Luis LeDoux, and Willie LeDoux, sisters, Fabiola Maestas, Margarita Grant, Maria Tillie Rudolph and Lucy Montoya, sons-in-law, Jim Anderson and Bobby Ortega.

She is survived by her daughters: Mae Anderson of Albuquerque, NM; and Margie Ortega of Mora, NM; sons: Roy Martinez and Ted A. Martinez (Linda) all of Albuquerque, NM; daughter-in-law: Patricia Martinez of Algodones, NM; grandchildren: Richard Romero (Rita), Anthony Romero, Robert Ortega (Gwen), Patrick Martinez, Theresa Martinez-Andazola (James), Debbie Ortega-Aragon (Alex), Maria Martinez-Sanchez (Tomas), Angie Benavidez-Gutierrez (Eric), fourteen great-grandchildren, brothers: Arthur LeDoux and Lee LeDoux (Nila), numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 10:00am at Rogers Mortuary Chapel in Las Vegas, NM, with Pastor James Coleman as Officiant. Interment will follow services at the Presbyterian Cemetery in El Carmen, NM. Serving as Pallbearers will be the following; Lucas Andaloza, Robert Ortega, Brian Martinez, Jonas Moya, Sammy (Tati) Romero, Walter Chavez and Anthony Romero. Honorary Pallbearers will be all her remaining grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
