It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Robert “Bobby” Garcia on Sept. 3, 2026 at the age of 81. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Oakland, California on July 16, 1945 to Celedonio and Helen Garcia. Bobby married the love of his life Dorothy Garcia on June 22, 1968. He was a devoted, loving, and caring husband, dad, grandpa, brother and friend. He always had his saying “no me rajo” and he was true too it.

Bobby was a hardworking man starting his young career as a gas mobile delivery driver and ran the Mobile gas station. He also was a wild land firefighter. Later he became self-employed lumberjack/ jack of all trades.

He is preceded in death by his parents Celedonio and Helen Garcia. His loving wife of 49 years Dorothy Garcia, sister MaryAnn Garcia, nephews James D. Marquez and Carlos Castillo. Baby Isabella Rose Mares.

He is survived by his children Robert A. Garcia, Frank Garcia (Sheila), Mercedes Garcia. Sisters Ernestine Romero late husband Damacio, Molly Marquez, Agnes and Eloy Montoya of Santa Fe NM, Lorraine and Toby Lucero, Loretta Rael late husband Tom. In-laws Manuel (Josie) Garcia, Gilbert (Georgia) Garcia, Alfredo (Theresa) Garcia, Steven and Stephanie Garcia. Grandchildren Erica Garcia, Robert JR Garcia, Christian Garcia, Justin Garcia, Rhyanne Martinez, Jacob Garcia, Savannah Montoya, Miguel Flores, and Adam Flores. Great grandchildren Aleyah, Elena, Zabian, Lucas, Kaelee, and Landeynn. And numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Rosary services will be recited on Monday Sept. 14, 2026 at 6:00PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas NM. Funeral mass will be conducted on Tuesday Sept. 15, 2026 at 9:00AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father Sarfraz Alam as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers Robert JR Garcia, Christian Garcia, Justin Garcia, Jacob Garcia, Miguel Flores, and Adam Flores.
