It is with great sadness and heavy heart to announce the passing of the Love of my Life Rose Marie Martinez. She gained her Angel Wings on July 2, 2023. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her.
Rose is preceded in death by her son Martin Peter Martinez, Maternal Parents Jose Isa Espinoza and Maria Espinoza. Paternal parents Elauterio Martinez and Cruzita Martinez, Brother David Espinoza, Sister Maria Elena Galindre and Arthur Martinez brother-in-law.
Rose survived by her husband Peter Martinez, daughter Jessica Sandoval (Paul), daughter Angelique Martinez. Grandchildren Daniel Saiz, Martin Lopez, Isiah Sandoval, Marcus Lopez (Sarah), Joshua Sandoval, Joseph Martinez, Cameron Sandoval, Gabriella Martinez Padilla, Great Grandchildren Genesis Lopez and Sarai Lopez. Sister Martha Frisch (Bill), brother Joseph Espinoza (Anna), sister-in-law Dorothy Pacheco (Danny), Moises Martinez brother-in-law, sister-in-law Charlotte Gonzales (Louie), Joni Martinez sister-in-law, Daniel Galindre and her favorite nephew Chachi. She is also survived by many Uncles, Aunts, Nephews, Nieces and special friends.
Rose was a West Las Vegas Graduate, having graduated in 1970. She was class treasurer. She then attended Luna Community College to pursue a secreterial degree. Rose worked for the West Las Vegas School system for many years first working and at the high school and then at Tony Serna Elementary. During her tenure she made many friends as she worked with all the parents of many students that she cared for. She would often stay after work to care for students due to parents running late. Working/caring for students was her passion. She was a loving and caring grandmother and she enjoyed attending her grandchildren's baseball, football, and basketball games. She enjoyed spending time with family. She was known as Grandma Rose for the many children that she took care of after retirement. Her Family was her pride and joy whom she loved cooking for and having with her for every Holiday. She was a Denver Bronco Fan.
Rosary Devotional Services will be conducted at 6:00 pm on July 11, 2023 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Funeral mass will be conducted on July 12, 2023 at 9:00 am.
Cremation will take place after and burial of cremains will be held at a later date.
Serving as Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Daniel Saiz, Martin Lopez, Isiah Sandoval, Marcus Lopez,
Joshua Sandoval, Joseph Martinez, Cameron Sandoval and Gabriella Martinez Padilla.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Genesis Lopez and Sarai Lopez.
