Rosenda Atencio Born in Sapello, NM November 20, 1937 – May 4, 2026

Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, Louis C. Atencio; her parents, Guadalupe and Secundina Urioste; and her brother, Guadalupe Jr. Urioste, and his wife, Della Urioste. She is survived by her sisters, Connie Chavez (Milnor), Josie Sisneros (Armando), Chavela Isabel Mascareñas (Joe), and Barbara Jones (Norman); and her brothers, Delfino Urioste (Maria) and Gene Urioste.

She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives, and friends.

Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 9:00am funeral mass will follow both services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Burial will be Friday, May 15, 2026 at 2:45pm at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
