It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ruben C. Espinoza on June 27, 2026. Ruben passed away peacefully at home at the age of 70. Ruben was born and raised in Las Vegas, New Mexico.

Ruben lived a life marked by faith. compassion, and strength. He touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing him. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing whenever he could with his brother Robert. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, especially watching the games with the people he loved most. You would always catch him eating either Cheeto puffs, m&ms or cracker Jacks with the biggest smile on his face. His selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Clemente Espinoza.

Ruben is survived by his daughter, Jessica Livingston of Las Vegas; his sister Doris Trammell (Robert Trammell) of Las Vegas; his brother, Anthony Espinoza of Albuquerque; Sister Diana Hannagan (Steve Hannagan) of Albuquerque; nieces and nephews. His loving niece and caregiver Heather Hurtado as he would say “my Heather”; Melanie Rincon (Perfecto Rincon); Julio (JJ) Hurtado; Iris Espinoza, and Nicole Hannagan (Chris Evans). Great nieces and nephews; David Hampton, McKenzie Hampton, Jordan Hurtado, Izaiah Villanueva, Sophia Villanueva, Chris (CJ), Maddie and Ava Evans.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 10, 2026, at 9 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Interment will follow at the Tecolote Cemetery in Tecolote, NM with the following serving as pallbearers are Julio (JJ) Hurtado, Perfecto Rincon, Izaiah Villanueva, John Silva, Justin Trammell, and Sophia Villanueva.
