Sadie A. Martinez, age 52, a longtime time resident of Las Vegas, New Mexico, passed on Thursday morning, July 12, 2012 at her home with her loving family around her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Fulgencio Martinez and Josie Sandoval; ex-husband: Levi Martinez; brother: Johnny Martinez.
She is survived by her loving fiancee: Leroy Lucero; daughters: Lorissa Martinez and fiancee Eddie R. Pino Jr.; Melissa Martinez special friend Jay Duran, and Jessie Gutierrez -Romero, her daughters ,Dolores Gutierrez, Geraldine Duran (Carlos), and son Anthony Gutierrez (Amanda); sons: Juan Baca Jr.,and Keith Gutierrez ; step-daughter: Maria Sandoval and fiancee Chris Lucero; fifteen grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Patsy Duran, Benito Martinez,Tony Martinez (Rita), Margarita Martinez best friends: Jana Lopez (Carlos Montano), May Coca (Nick); special friend: Pam Sandoval (Krystal Marquez) numerous: nieces, nephews, god children, other relatives and many, many good friends.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, fiancee and friend. She was a Food Service Director at the United World College for 23 years. She loved to cook and bake. She also loved hanging out with her family and taking trips to the casino. Sadie was a beautiful person inside and out . She loved being a mom to anyone who needed it. She welcomed anybody and everyone into her house. The love that everyone had for her was beyond words.
Rosary services will be held on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 7:00 pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father Douglas Mitchell as celebrant. Interment will take place at Los Alamitos Cemetery in Los Alamitos, NM with the following serving as casket bearers: Keith Gutierrez, Adrian Gonzales, Eddie R. Pino Jr., Pam Sandoval, Andres Medina, Harold Santillanes, Jay Duran, and Victoria Lucero. Honorary Bearers will be Juan Baca Jr, Robert Ortega Jr., all her grandchildren and god children.
