Sally Marie Gallegos 71, of Las Vegas, NM, passed away on February 16, 2024. Sally was well known in the Las Vegas community and was always willing to help others. She loved animals and was a friend to all. Sally was a Catholic and attended IC church. She was a Pittsburg Steelers fan and "loved all creatures great and small….even humans". She will be greatly missed.

Sally was born on April 29, 1952 and joined the Salazar family shortly after her birth and was a Robertson High School graduate.

She is preceded in death by her parents Vicente and Rose Salazar, brother Rubel Salazar, brother Father George Salazar, sister MaryLynn Vigil, and great nephew Isaiah Salazar. Also preceding her in death are Marie Valadez and Patricia Valadez.

Sally is survived by her brothers Tony Salazar (Yolanda), Raymond Salazar (Mary), John Salazar (Mary). Nephews and nieces: Daniel, Donald, Dennis, Diana, Mark, Rosemarie, Vincent, Gregory, Andrew and Santiago. She is also survived by Lorenzo, Arnold, and Lorraine Gutierrez, and many more loved ones.

Cremation has taken place and Rosary will be held on Monday March 4, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church with funeral mass to follow. Interment will follow funeral at San Antonio Cemetery. Urn bearers will be her nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made in Sally's name to the Animal Humane Society of New Mexico 615 Virginia St. SE Albuquerque NM 87108, or the City of Las Vegas Animal Care Center 1680 N. Grand Ave. Las Vegas NM 87701.
