Samuel G. Medina, age 73, a lifelong resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 in Albuquerque, NM.

He was born in Las Vegas, NM to Claudio B. Medina and Frances Ruth Padilla on June 3, 1947.

Samuel is preceded in death by both his parents: sisters: Emma Gonzales, Bernadette Gonzales, Helen J. Medina and Josephine Medina; brother: Joseph Medina.

He is survived by his brothers: Herman Medina (Viola) of Tucson, AZ, Roberto Medina (Ada) of Las Cruces, NM, Ernesto Medina (Velvet) of Burbank, CA, and Patricio Medina (Valerie) of Albuquerque, NM. sisters: Priscilla Bustos (Ralph) of Las Vegas, NM, Claudette Medina of Las Vegas, NM, and Brenda Gutiérrez (Leroy) of El Pueblo, NM, aunts: Helen Medina of Las Vegas, NM, Rose Borrego of Longmont, CO, and Antonia Rodriguez (Isidro) of Longmont, CO, uncles: Raymond Padilla (Helen) of Mead, CO, and Leroy Padilla (Elcy) of Longmont, CO, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services have been scheduled for immediate family only at Our Lady of Sorrows Church on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 9:30am. Funeral services will be livestreamed on Facebook Our Lady of Sorrows Church, oloslasvegas.org or on You Tube Our Lady of Sorrows Church.

Cremation will follow services and burial of cremains will be held at a later date at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM.

Pallbearers will be Paul Gonzales, Joseph Gonzales, Nick Romero, Christian Padilla, Chris Engelke, Natasha Martinez, Ruth Sena and Bert Sena. Honorary Bearers will be his remaining nieces and nephews.
