Savana Rubio age 21 and a lifetime resident of Las Vegas, New Mexico passed away on September 29, 2022 in Las Vegas, New Mexico. She was a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin and niece. She was very talented, she designed her own clothes. She loved to cook, bake, make jewelry and she loved to sing.

She was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Diego Rubio and Yolanda Romero. She is preceded in death by paternal great grandparents Antonio and Juanita Vigil and Juanita Urioste –Gonzales, Phil Rubio, Maternal great grandparents Sabina Gonzales – Benavidez, Rafael Benavidez, Felix Romero-Castillo, Esiesa Castillo and step-dad Leroy Varela.

She is survived her sons Jeremiah, Isiah, her mother Yolanda Romero (Pat Ashe) all of Las Vegas, NM , her father Diego Rubio (Franchesca) of Tucumcari, NM, brothers Cruzito Varela, Malaky Varela both of Las Vegas, NM, Diego Rubio Jr. of Tucumcari,NM,  maternal grandparents Lorraine Romero (Rodolfo) of Las Vegas, NM, RIchard (Geneva) Rubio of Albuquerque, NM, uncles Orlando Romero (Lisa), Felix Romero both of Las Vegas, NM, Keith Rubio (Olivia) of El Ancon, NM, Miguel Rubio of Albuquerque, NM, Jesus Rubio (Georgia) of Albuquerque, NM, aunt Nadine Rubio (Richard), numerous great aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends

Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 7:00pm, funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 9:00 am with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant both services will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, NM.

Interment will follow at La Manga Cemetery in La Manga, NM with the following serving as Pallbearers Juan Rubio, Marcos Herrera, Antonio Herrera, Orlando Romero, Felix Romero, and Malaky Varela. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Encinias, Diego Rubio Jr., Rick Crespin Jr., Josiah Rubio, Keith Rubio, Miguel Rubio, Jesus Rubio, Orlando Rubio Jr. and Jordan Romero Jr.
