Sophie G. Philips was a longtime resident of Raton, New Mexico passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 18, 2022 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Guadalupita, NM on September 29, 1939 to Cleo and Leandro Coca.

Sophie is survived by her husband: Harold Philips; daughter: Edith Gallegos (Patrick); sons: Gregory Fresquez (Alberta) and Gerald Fresquez (Cassandra); grandchildren: Yvonne Campbell (Paul), Aaron Gallegos (Bryanna), Larrissa Gallegos (Luis), Bobby and Leslie Fresquez, Chaz Fresquez (Stacie) and Cayla Fresquez; great grandchildren: Isaiah Maldonado, Mila and Lola Campbell, Kaleb Vigil, Emma Perez, Jace and Jax Gallegos, Chase, Jacob and Cole Fresquez.

Rosary service will be recited on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 7:00pm at. Funeral mass will be conducted on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 9:00 am with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant both services will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, NM.

Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM at 12:30pm with the following serving as Pallbearers Chaz Fresquez, Isaiah Maldonado, Bobby Fresquez, Aaron Gallegos, Larrissa Gallegos and Yvonne Campbell. Honorary Pallbearers will be all her remaining grandchildren and great grandchildren.
