With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Stella Bartone, on Sunday, December 1, 2024 due to natural causes. Stella was born in Canon de Las Manuelitas, near Rociada, New Mexico, to Alfredo Herrera and Adelita Rudolph. At the age of five her family moved to Las Vegas where she grew up and graduated from Las Vegas High School, now called Robertson High School.

Preceding her in death; are her parents: Husband Henry Bartone. Sisters: Anna Berry, Helen Roybal, and Connie Edwards. Brother, Alfred Herrera Jr., and her son, Anthony "Tony" Gomez. Stella is survived by her children: Alfred Gomez and wife Joann, Sylvia Gomez, and Javier Mendez Jr.

Stella, with her stunning beauty, flawless attire, and makeup to perfection, embraced life with a vigorous passion. She was not afraid to work hard and go after what she wanted. She was quite talented; from teaching dance classes in California, designing and embellishing dresses with real flowers for competitions in Hollywood, to owning her own flower shop creating beautiful arrangements. She loved fabricating arrangements with cherub and angel statues. She had a very unique style.

Stella loved to dance and could be found on the dance floor at many local functions. The Fourth of July Fiestas was one of her favorite places to dance! She won numerous awards for her dancing throughout her life. Stella loved observing and engaging with people. Stella was always ready for adventure and loved to travel, especially by train. She was a very successful and savvy businesswoman.

In an article written about her a few years ago, she was quoted as saying. "I live life to the fullest for the moment…and every moment I enjoy." Living life on her terms, was definitely Stella, as it should be.

There will not be any services. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and condolences during this time. May Stella rest in peace.
