Steven Montoya, 54, passed away October 5, 2023 at his home in Los Montoya's, NM.

Steven was born on May 1, 1969 to Arturo and Dorinda Montoya.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Arturo and Dorinda Montoya; brother: Arturo Montoya Jr.

Steven is survived by his daughters: Ashley Doage (Javarrea) and Izabella Montoya; siblings: Frances Vigil (Daryl), Mary Ann Schultz (Darrell), Fernando Montoya (Susan), Corinne, Nick, Reyes Montoya (Andrea) and Mary Alice Barela; sister-in-law: Donna Montoya; "little sister" Nichol Gallegos. He was blessed with 5 grandchildren Jaurae, Aja, Zyaier, Kaine and Major. He was loved by numerous nieces and nephews.

Steven was a proud father and took pride in his family. He showed beautiful craftsmanship and artistic vision while remodeling his home. He graduated with a medical aide certificate. Steven loved hunting and showing off his cooking skills. Steven was an avid sports fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys, he enjoyed hanging out with his friends and he definitely adored his animals.

Rosary service will be recited on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 7:00pm. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 9:30am with both services to be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM.

Cremation has taken place and burial of cremains will follow at the San Antonio Cemetery in Los Montoya's with the following serving as honorary pallbearers Fernando, Nick and Reyes Montoya, Dave Solano and Manuel (Manny) Loya.
