Theresa Lucero "Martinez" 67, of Las Vegas, New Mexico born on November 19, 1956, peacefully went to be with the lord in the early morning of August 7, 2024.

She is preceded in death by her late husband Alex Lucero, her father Luis Roybal, her sister Margie Patron, niece Debby Patron, brother in laws Chris Patron, Ernie Pacheco, Paul Romero, Candido, Elvires, and Valentin Lucero, Mother-in-law Rosa Lucero and Sister-in-law Perla Lucero and also a very special nephew Jeffery Romero, and best friend Joann Trujillo.

She was an avid Denver Bronco fan. She loved her coffee every morning, with her little Debbie (queqitos). She was very opinionated, and she never missed a day or night on Facebook just to say Good Morning or Good Night. She loved her only two granddaughters Ivana whom she called "Gorda" and Alexa Gabby whom she called "boo-boo". They were her world and her pride and joy. She enjoyed family outings and always made her famous taco and fruit salad and the best green chili meatballs. She always enjoyed being with family and friends and will be greatly missed by all her family.

She is survived by her daughters: Tanya Roybal Madrid and Kimberley Lucero (David) of Las Vegas, New Mexico. Her granddaughters: Ivana Roybal and Alexa Gabriella Roybal Delgado of Las Vegas, New Mexico. Her mother: Hazel Roybal (Gutierrez) of Las Vegas, New Mexico, Sisters: Marie Pacheco of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Alice Lucero (Raquel) of Ojitos Frios New Mexico, Betty Benavidez (Joe) of Pueblo Colorado, Dolores Romero, Helen Roybal (Richard), Lulu Romero (Timothy), and Michelle Gonzales (Adrian), all of Las Vegas, New Mexico. Special aunt: Ida Mendez who she called her second mom of Rocky Ford, Colorado cousins: Ralph and Lola Mendez of Rocky Ford, Colorado and Lucy (Jaime) Santos of Greeley, Colorado whom she considered siblings. Sister in laws: Lucy (Watt) Maes of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Irene Lucero of Albuquerque, New Mexico and stepchildren: Michael and Nancy Lucero. Special nephew: Daniel Roybal and other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Celebration of life Service will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at10:00 am at Heart of David Worship Center, 333 Peggy Lane, Las Vegas, New Mexico 87701. Burial of cremains will follow at Ojitos Frios Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with the love of her life Alex Lucero. Urn Bearers will be her two granddaughters Ivana Roybal and Alexa Gabriella Roybal Delgado, and honorary bearers will be her sisters Marie, Alice, Betty, Dolores, Helen, Lulu, and Michelle.
