With heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of Timothy Argus Nix who suddenly passed away unexpectedly April 29 ^, 2023 in Las Vegas NM

Tim Nix was born in Santa Fe NM preceded in death by his father James A Nix & mother Adele M Nix. He is survived by the love of his life Nicole M Hernandez (dog) precious who he called his buddy Son Jerade Nix (Melissa) Daughter Colleen Nix grandchildren Gabby, Landen, Jameson, Aaliyah Nix. Also survived by Uncle Gene and Aunt Kathy, Brother James (Ronnie) Nix (Maryann), Sister MaryjoKesler (Eric), Brother John McClenahan (Cindy), and Jimmy Nix, also survived by his close nephew Josh McClenahan and Best friend Gil Gilvarry as well as multiple nieces, nephews who he loved dearly.

Tim Nix was born and raised in Santa Fe, NM where he graduated from. Tim will be remembered with his infections laugh his big bear hugs and having a heart of gold. Wherever Tim went he made friends and had an impact on. Tim was the Chief of the Cabo Lucero Fire Department in Mineral Hill where his father was the founder of. Which was his passion to carry on. He fought courageously along with fellow brothers and sisters who battled the Calf Canyon Hermits Peak fire. Tim was always willing to help his neighbors and family. He loved Nascar and the Chicago Bears. He was the heart of the mountain. Tim touched many people in the community and will be deeply missed by everyone who was a part of his life.

Procession will be on Friday, May 12, 2023 to bring Chief Tim Nix home starting at 12:00pm in Albuquerque, NM. Services will be at a later date.
