Victoria (Vickie) Ann Martinez born January 10, 1954 in Dalhart, TX. She was born to Manual and Sofronia Martinez and lovingly raised by her parents Conrado and Escolastica (Lala) Martinez. Vickie entered eternal rest on August 3, 2025.

Vickie graduated from Mosquero High School in 1975. She went on to Cosmotology school in El Rito, NM. She worked in Tucumcari as a beautician for several years. She later became a caregiver for her father Conrado during his illness until he passed and for her mother Lala until she entered the nursing home. Vickie was also cook and beautician at the nursing home in Logan, NM, and was also employed as a cook for the Anton Chico schools for a year.

Vickie is preceded by her parents Conrado and Escolastica Martinez, and her brother Jose Abenicio Martinez. She is also preceded by her biological parents Manual and Sofronia Martinez, and her sister Esther Martinez. Her paternal grandparents Felipe and Victoria Martinez, and her maternal grandparents Francisco and Margarita Pacheco.

Vickie is survived by her niece Elaine Martinez-Gonzalez and husband Leroy, her nephew Jose A. Martinez, Jr., her sister in law Julie Martinez, her great niece Ashleigh Ickes and husband Dominik, Aaron Martinez and Amber, Jaymes Gonzalez and Cheyenne, and Ace Gonzalez. She is also survived by her great great nephews Brekyn Sullivan and Bronx Ickes, and on the way great great niece Saylor Gonzalez. Uncles Frank Pacheco, Arturo Pacheco, Cleofas Pacheco and Aunt Gloria Arguello.

Vickie was a kind soul with a beautiful smile. She was a very strong person, she never complained about anything, especially during her illness. She always said she was ok. She was quiet, and loved to be around family. She loved music, and listening to La Banda Seria. She enjoyed going to dances to listen to the music. Although she wasn't able to go in a few years, she enjoyed going to the casino with her mom and her aunt Lily. They shared many adventures together. Lots of laughter for sure, she wasn't one to laugh out loud, but she always had a bright beautiful smile.

Our family will miss her tremendously, she was a big part of our family.

Services will be held August 18, 2025 In Mosquero, NM, at St. Joseph Church. Rosary will be at 10:00am with Mass immediately after. Interment will follow at Mosquero Cemetery in Mosquero. NM with the following serving as  pallbearers: Jose Martinez Jr., Leroy Gonzalez, Martin Pacheco, Andres Pacheco, Aaron Martinez, Jaymes Gonzalez, Ace Gonzalez, Gino Martinez, and Danny Apodaca. Honorary pallbearers are Brekyn Sullivan and Dominik Ickes.
