Victoria Ann
Gallegos
May 27, 1954 – January 26, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear sister, mother, Grandmother Victoria Ann Gallegos. Victoria went with our Lord early on Sunday, January 26, 2025 following an extended illness. While we are so very sad by her passing, we are gladdened to know that she is now with her departed children, Peter, Olivia and Florence as well as with her parents Antonio and Mary Margret Gallegos, and little sister Carmen Roybal.
Victoria is survived by long time special friend Oliver Baca, two children, Victor Baca (several grandchildren) and Virginia Gallegos (one grandchild), grandchildren Maya and Jayden Mascarenas (mother Olivia - deceased), Charlie Baca (mother Florence deceased), Xavier, Dante and Malichi Aragon (father Peter - deceased). Victoria is survived by seven brothers and sisters: Robert Gallegos (wife Darla), Mary Baca (husband Clyde), Juan Gallegos (wife Georgia), Marcella Montoya (husband Fred), Loretta Baca (husband Chris), Rita Bustos (husband John), and Tony Gallegos (wife Kathy). Victoria was blessed with many nieces & nephews, all who adored their auntie.
Victoria was born in Las Vegas New Mexico on May 27, 1954. She was a devoted member of the Immaculate Conception Church. She loved her church and ensured that each and every one of her children were baptized and raised under the loving eye of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ as well as the Blessed Virgin Mary. She attended Robertson High School. For much of her working life, she held many positions mostly taking care of the elderly. Right after our father Antonio passed away in 1980, she took it upon herself to take care of our mother Mary Margret for many, many years. The two were inseparable. Just about every Sunday, Victoria and her mom loved to attend mass and go to breakfast in any of the Las Vegas restaurants afterwards. She lovingly watched over our mother until her death in 2019. Victoria met the love of her life Oliver in 1980 where shortly thereafter they had four beautiful children, two of them twins. Victoria had one child, Peter (three grandchildren) from a previous marriage to Pete Aragon.
Victoria will be cremated. A devotional Rosary will be held at Rogers Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, NM on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 11:00 am. Burial of cremains will follow directly after the mass at the San Antonio Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM.
