Virginia Roybal, 83, of Las Vegas, N.M., passed away January 27, 2026. She was a woman of strong faith who deeply loved her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Luisa Saavedra; siblings Louie Saavedra (Marie), Cirilio Saavedra, Michael Saavedra, Marcelino Saavedra, Jose Saavedra, Joseph Saavedra, Alice "Lily" Santillanes, and Christine Saavedra; and children Navorcito Roybal, Nelson Roybal, and Norma Roybal.
She is survived by her children Nancy Trujillo; Marcelino Roybal (Emilia); and Nash Roybal (Anna); grandchildren Nicky Guy Martinez (Savanah) great-grandsons Nehemiah and Nazariah, Navor Trujillo (Starlette), Nathan Roybal, Natasha Roybal and her children, and Johnathan Torres and his children; and, She is also survived by siblings Helen Maynard, Kathy Martinez (Gilbert), Elaine Ross (Lance), Steve Saavedra (Isabel), and Robert Saavedra (Lulu); sister-in-law Ruby Saavedra; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and pets Baby, Lucky
A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, with interment to follow at San Jose Cemetery.
