Wilfred Luis Gallegos Jr 41 entered this life on December 9, 1981 and was called to his eternal home on Sunday January 8, 2023 surrounded by his wife and their children.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ramon & Marcelina Gallegos of Villanueva, NM and maternal grandparents Serafin & Lucy Valdez of Cañones, NM.
Wil is survived by his wife and mother of his children Maria Gallegos, son Zachariah, daughters; Arianna, Evangelyn, Alicia and Melody. Parents Wilfred (Watts) & Higinia (Hinnie) Gallegos, sisters Dolores Romo (Allen) of Taos, NM and Victoria (Paul) Garcia of Japan, Justina Gallegos of Espanola, NM and nieces, nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins who he loved dearly.
Wil grew up in Albuquerque, NM. and spent many summers and vacations in Cañones with his grandparent's and cousins, where he developed his love for ranching. He was a graduate of Rio Grande High school class of 2000.
Wil had an infectious personality and was full of jokes and laughter. Wil had a nickname for most everyone he loved. Wil enjoyed working on his family home on his spare time and always strived for perfection. Wil had a great love and passion for horses and spent many years on the race track. Wil found that his forever passion was being a father to his children and spent his time teaching them new things and watching them grow.
Wil was employed at Los Alamos National Lab and served many years as General foreman, where he was known as "Willie G". He enjoyed his job and developed many priceless friendships throughout the years.
Rosary will be held Wednesday January 18, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Villanueva, NM at 8:30 AM followed by mass at 9:00 AM. Burial to take place at a later date.
