Willie Eggert, 90 passed away on Thursday, Jan 25, 2024, at his home in Wagon Mound, NM. He was born on August 10, 1933, to Manuel Eggert and Mary Maestas Eggert in Maes, NM.

Willie worked hard his entire life to make sure his family was taken care well after he was gone. He went to Colorado to look for work and not only found work but his beautiful wife Nora. He raised 3 children in Colorado and moved to California in the late 1950's. There he worked as a building contractor and had 3 more children. Together he and Nora raised 6 children. Later he worked his way up to become a general building contractor and owned his own business. After he retired, he moved back to the state in which he was born, New Mexico. He purchased a ranch in Wagon Mound, NM with his son William Eggert Jr. in 1993.

He is preceded in death by his wife; Nora Gonzales Eggert, parents; sister Hazel Melton; brothers, Wilber Eggert, Herman Eggert; son David Eggert; grandson Andrew Villarreal.

Willie is survived by his children, Christine Grijalva (Bob), of Citrus Heights, CA., Teresa Alvarez (Ralph) of Cameron Park, CA., William L. Eggert Jr. (Roxanne) of Wagon Mound, NM., Ruth Porras (Robert) of Roy, NM, Kathleen Eggert (John) of Wagon Mound, NM., brother Wayne Eggert (Carol) of El Dorado Hills, CA.

Willie is survived by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Rosary will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 6:00 pm at Santa Clara Church in Wagon Mound, NM.

Funeral mass will be on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 10:00 am at Santa Clara Church in Wagon Mound, NM with Father Cameron as Celebrant.

For the respect of the family, they are asking for a private burial with the following serving as Pallbearers, Brent Eggert, Angel Villarreal, Alex Villarreal, Shannon Medina, David Eggert Jr., Adrian Torres, Eric Carrillo, Robert Ross.

All are welcome to the Rosary and Mass services held at Santa Clara Church in Wagon Mound, NM.
