Xavier "X"
Curtis Mcdonnell
August 9, 2003 – March 6, 2025
It is with deeply saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Xavier "X" Curtis McDonnell, 21. Gone too soon, we were forced to say goodbye on March 6, 2025, in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Born on August 9, 2003, in Spring Hill, Florida, Xavier always excelled, graduating high school with honors and an associate's degree, he was extremely intelligent brought joy and laughter to those around him without fail.
Xavier had a remarkable ability to light up a room with his infectious laugh. Always quick to tell a new joke or yell out a crazy phase he made up, Xavier had a natural gift for bringing smiles to the faces of those he encountered. His sense of humor was matched only by his unwavering loyalty—he was the kind of friend who stood by your side when you needed someone most. Xavier was one of the youngest in his family, however, that stopped him at nothing when it came to protecting people. Everyone wanted to be Xavier's friend and that's exactly what he was. He was a friend, to each and every person who was deserving of his undeniable love and kindness.
He is longingly remembered by his mother, April; his sister, Ashley; his brothers, Joseph and Estevan; his nieces, Essence, Madilyn, Ava, and Glory; his nephews, Eluzio, David, and Noah; and his grandparents, Larry and Frances, and Maria.
Rosary will be held on March 20, 2025 at 9:00am and funeral rite will follow both services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, located at 403 Valencia St., Las Vegas, New Mexico, 87701. Cremation will follow and burial of cremains will be held at a later date.
Xavier's presence in the lives of those who knew him will be deeply missed. May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.
