Mike Dolan, age 64, a resident of Las Vegas, New Mexico "Walked" into the presence of Jesus Christ on Monday, October 25, 2010 at the Christus St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
He was born June 18, 1946 in Prescott, Arizona to Tom and Ruth Dolan.
He was united in marriage on December 21, 1965 to Tangee Clare in Gilbert, Arizona.
He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
He was raised on the Diamond A. Ranch in Seligman, AZ. He worked on ranches in Arizona and New Mexico his whole life. He began working on ranches in this area in 1987 when he managed the Lake Ranch in Watrous, and the Mora Ranch in Ocate, NM. Over the next 23 years he managed the Ruby Ranch north of Las Vegas, NM, and the Marsh Ranch in Valmora. He also showed ranch horses for the Watrous Valley Ranch and most recently managed La Bonita Ranch North of Las Vegas, NM owners Gary and Kim Cobb . He enjoyed playing golf in Pendaries and won the Club Championship several times. He was a member of the Ranch Horse Association of America. He enjoyed training horses. He loved attending his grandsons sporting events most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was a tough cowboy that battled an unknown crippling illness for over a year. He was the most loving husband, father, and grandfather that a person could ever ask for.
Mike Dolan was preceded in death by his parents: Tom and Ruth Dolan and his brother: Pat Dolan.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years: Tangee Dolan; son: Toby Dolan and wife Audry of Rociada, NM; grandsons: Bret Dolan and wife Francheska of Rociada, NM; Coy Dolan also of Rociada, NM; mother-in-law: Sue Jones of Rociada, NM; sister: Darlene Burris and husband Robert of Chino Valley, AZ; brother: Jim Dolan and wife Colleen of Rimrock, AZ; numerous: nieces, nephews, and many other extended family members.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 10:00am at the Calvary Baptist Church in Las Vegas, NM with Pastor Owen Young officiating. Interment will follow at the Cherryville Cemetery in Shoemaker, NM with the following serving as casket bearers: Shawn Dolan, Jim Pat Davis, Tom Burris, Miles Dewitt, Tom Pat Dolan, Bozo Rogers, Cody Smith and Jason Dolan. Serving as honorary bearers will be his two grandsons.
