Jessica Lynn Ortiz passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20th 2017 after a lengthy battle with diabetes. The Lord in all his wisdom called her home at the age of 29. Jessica, was a lifetime member of Immaculate Conception Parish. She loved to sing and listen to music. The Beatles were her favorite all time group and she could sing any of their songs at the drop of a hat. She was a kind –hearted friend always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. She loved her daughter and spending time with her. She was a loving mother, sister, & daughter. She will be missed dearly by all those she touched in her short life. She was born on June 30, 1987 in Las Vegas, NM to her parents Peter Ortiz and Roberta Gomez Ortiz.
She was preceded in death by her uncle: Edward Gomez. She is survived by her daughter: Sophia Lucero and her father Joseph of Las Vegas, NM; parents: Peter and Roberta Ortiz of Las Vegas, NM; brothers: Peter-Michael Ortiz of Albuquerque, NM; and Luke Ortiz of Las Vegas, NM; maternal grandparents: Carmen and Ed Gomez, paternal grandparents: Pete and Ruby Ortiz all of Las Vegas, NM; aunts and uncles: Patricia Ortiz of Albuquerque, NM; Gary Ortiz and wife Maria and family of Santa Fe, NM; Dina Salazar and family of Albuquerque, NM; Richard Ortiz and wife Loretta and family of Lubbock, TX; Daniel Ortiz and family of Albuquerque, NM; Margaret Gomez and family, Linda Martinez and husband George and family, Gerri Gomez and family all of Denver, CO; Veronica Case and husband Brian and family of Parker, CO; Glen Gomez (Laura Tafoya) and family of Las Vegas, NM; Amanda Gomez of Denver, CO; Patricia Gomez (Brian Adams) of Parker, CO: numerous: cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Rosary will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 8:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 9:00 am also at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, NM with Father George V. Salazar as Celebrant. Cremation burial will be held at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM.
