Patsy M. Duran age, 76 a lifetime resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2022 in Las Cruces, NM.

She was born on May 17, 1945 to Fulgencio Martinez and Josie Sandoval in Las Vegas, NM.

Patsy was a Switch Board Operator at New Mexico State Hospital for 30 years.

She was a foster mother to numerous children.

Everybody who knew her adored and loved her.

Patsy is preceded in death by her parents: Fulgencio and Josie Martinez: daughter: Judith Ortega; granddaughter: Judanna Ortega; great grandson: Roberto Antonio Gastelum- Moreno; brother: Johnny Martinez; sister: Sadie Martinez.

She is survived by her children: Debra Joanne Gastelum (Gregorio) of Las Vegas, NM and Chris Duran (Sara) of Las Vegas, NM; grandchildren: Gregorio, Christopher Jesus (Samantha), Bonita, Jovanna, Miranda, Marina (Chris), Maribella, Robert, Leroy, Julia and Yvonne; great grandchildren: Damian, Olivia G, Olivia H., Mya and Carter; brothers: Joseph Martinez (Rita) of Albuquerque, NM and Benito Martinez of Las Vegas, NM; sister: Margie George (Ernie) of Las Vegas, NM; goddaughter: Diane Torrez; numerous: nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Rosary service will be conducted on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 7:00pm at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, NM.

Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 9:00am at Immaculate Conception Church with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant.

Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with the following serving as Pallbearers Benito Martinez, Gregorio Gastelum, Robert Ortega, Leroy Ortega, Maribella Duran and Jovanna Gastelum. Honorary Pallbearers will be all her remaining grandchildren and god children.
