Randolph "Randy" Valdez age, 66 a longtime resident of Las Vegas, NM formerly of Los Hueros, NM passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in Santa Fe, NM.

He was born on July 24, 1954 to Rowland R. Valdez and Sofia Martinez in El Paso, TX.

Randy was raised in Los Hueros and graduated from Mora High School. He attended El Rito Vocational School, where he met and wed his wife, Pauline Herrera. Randy's work skills included Construction, Heavy Equipment Operator, Electrical Journeyman, Drafting, and Auto Mechanic. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and wood work.

Randolph is preceded in death by his: god parents: Andres and Floripa Arguello; father: Rudy Valdez; brother: George "Chopo" Valdez.

He is survived by his wife Pauline Valdez of the family home; children: Sharon Valdez of Las Vegas, NM, Andrea Valdez of Rio Rancho, NM and Randy Paul Valdez of Las Vegas, NM; grandchildren: Clarissa, Fabian, Mykayla and Jayden; mother: Sofia Valdez of Los Hueros, NM; sisters and brothers: Doris  Cook ( Sam) of Las Vegas, NM, Martin Valdez (Debbie) of Gallup, NM, Kate Marquez (David) of Sapello, NM, Rose Salas (Clarence) of Gallup, NM, Annette Sanchez (Corky) of Las Vegas, NM and Ivan Valdez of Los Hueros, NM; mother-in-law: Sorida Herrera of El Rito, NM; sister-in-law: Darlene Gonzales (Joe) of Pueblo, CO; brother-in-law's: Rudy Herrera (Yvonne) of El Rito, NM, Johnny Herrera (Ida) of El Rito, NM and Emilio Herrera (Donna) of Denver, CO; sister-in-law's: Julie Herrera of Albuquerque, NM, Mary Kay Cannon (Ken) of Houston, TX and Charlene Valdez of La Frauga; numerous: nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Rosary will be recited on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 7:00PM at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, NM. Mask must be worn.

Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 9:00AM at Immaculate Conception Church with Father George V. Salazar as Celebrant. Masks must be worn.

Interment will follow at San Juan De Bautista Cemetery in Los Hueros, NM with the following serving as Pallbearers Santiago Jaramillo, Daniel Jaramillo, Charlie Valdez, George Phillip Valdez, Charlotte "Wallie" Sanchez, Trevor Koontz, Joseph Roybal and Augustine Trujillo.

Honorary Pallbearers will be his remaining god children and Rosalie Trujillo, Jeremiah Cook and Clarissa Baca.
